Nothing new today except for this picture of a hairless cat:

Posted by: Gary Sullivan at August 14, 2003 01:42 PMYes, you're right -- according to the site I got this from, this cat -- more properly a "kitten" -- will lose the rest of its hair within a couple of weeks.
The real hairless cats -- the breed is called a "sphinx" but has nothing to do with Egypt (I think the first one was born in Toronto) -- are pretty scary looking.
But, indeed, the coloration of their hair (were there to be hair) is patterned on the coloration of their skin. So, yes, when this cat loses the rest of its hair, it will probably have striped skin.
